Application Engineer
Gigajot is seeking a highly motivated, creative, skilled individual contributor and team leader who enjoys working in a fast growing high-tech startup environment to develop and commercialize disruptive imaging technologies.
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our team. The candidate will work closely with other teams to support customers through the entire product cycle including evaluation, design, debug, and shipping. Other tasks include gathering customer requirements, developing test and validation methods, firmware and hardware development, and communicating results to the team through presentations, test and characterization reports.
Qualifications and Requirements:

3+ years industry experience in either:
-
High volume manufacturing in camera systems
-
Depth camera calibration and tests
-
Imaging system characterization
-
3D imaging data flow
-
Scientific, medical, industrial imaging
-
-
Customer resource for: Questions, Design review (Schematic, layout, SW), Debug and trouble shooting.
-
Development of requirements and validation methods
-
Hardware bring up and validation of hardware blocks
-
Test and characterization of performance
-
Develop and optimize reference implementations
-
Experience with electrical testing and debugging tools such as an oscilloscope
-
Ability to program effectively in C/C++, JavaScript, Python, MATLAB, Verilog and embedded programming.

Camera systems understanding from design through manufacturing
-
Experience in CMOS camera applications, including hands-on experience with CMOS imagers in application test and design
-
Knowledge of sensor architecture, image and color processing, evaluation and improvement of image quality and hardware is required

Experience with software tool development, system level design and debug, FPGA and MCU firmware development is a plus
-
General understanding of image sensors, I2C, High speed serial interfaces, optical systems and lens characterization

Must have a strong teamwork mentality, excellent communication skills, and the mentality to build and foster relationships with customers and management

Experience in analog and mixed-signal IC or board level design to predict challenging implementations and target tests.

BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or similar fields (PhD is a plus)
